Clinics
Wellness Clinic
The Wellness Clinic is located at 5129 Cameron Rd, in the same building as our Spay/Neuter Clinic. Wellness services are provided for healthy animals only. We are unable to treat sick or injured animals. It is important for animal guardians to have a relationship with a private, full-service veterinarian for these services.
The A.T.A. Wellness Clinic is open seven days a week and services are provided on a walk-in basis only. We do not make appointments. Because of the popularity of our clinic, there is often a wait for services. To make this easier for our clients, you are welcome to come in, sign in, and we will give you an estimated time to be seen that day. You can leave and come back at that time.
If you have a cat please bring it in a carrier. If you do not have a carrier please let us know when you arrive and we will provide one for $5.00.
For more information about Wellness Clinic services, please call (512) 451-WELL (9355), or send an e-mail to: wellness@animaltrustees.org
WELLNESS CLINIC HOURS
Seven Days a Week
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
In the event of inclement weather, ATA will use the Austin Independent School District (AISD) as a guide (if AISD closes or opens late, ATA will do the same). Check your local radio or television station for information.

VACCINATION REACTIONS
Your animal companion might not eat or drink, or might lie around more than usual for up to about 24 hours after their vaccination. This reaction is to be expected but should not last more than one day. If your pet experiences these signs for more than 24 hours, please bring your pet to your primary veterinarian or to an emergency clinic if they are closed.
A very swollen face is a symptom of a serious reaction that can cause difficulty with breathing. This can be an emergency situation, and if your dog or cat is showing these signs, bring your pet to the nearest veterinary clinic or emergency clinic.
The most serious reaction that your animal can experience after vaccinations is anaphylactic shock. This is a life-threatening situation that can result in death. Your dog or cat may not be able to walk or respond to you, may be in a coma-like state, have pale white or blue gums, and/or collapse suddenly. This reaction usually occurs within 1-2 hours after vaccination. PLEASE TAKE YOUR DOG OR CAT TO YOUR EMERGENCY CLINIC IMMEDIATELY!
There are other possible reactions to vaccinations that may not be as common or as noticeable. These reactions include hives, welts, excessive vomiting and diarrhea, or swelling at the vaccination site. Please contact your regular veterinarian immediately if your pet experiences any of the above signs (or any other sign you believe is unusual after vaccinations).
