Carol’s Boys with Dumont

Sam is a 12-year-old red Bernese Mountain Dog who was found in a park in 1996 by Carol while she was walking her other dogs. She assured her husband she’d find a good home for him. And she did—Sam has been with them ever since. Sam loved going anywhere in the car and resting on the back deck in cold weather. He had an artistic flair and enjoyed meandering across—and curling up on—the canvas. Roe Roe is a 13-year-old Golden Retriever-Cocker Spaniel mix, and was rescued from a neglectful neighbor, who had left him in a pen for years without shelter or clean water. Eight years ago Carol discovered his condition and rescued him. After a good bath, Roe Roe slept curled up on his new human’s pillow and that has been his 'spot' ever since. Both pups were assisted by their muse, Linda Dumont, whose artwork is collected throughout the US and abroad and can also be seen at many locations throughout Austin.
