PAWPRINTS OF THE HEART was created by the cocker duo of Kirby and Lexie with guardians Vickie and Troy Menchhofer. To prepare for their painting, they spent some time looking at other artwork -- especially abstract. They also did some stretching to insure they could get their bodies into optimum painting position. Kirby is 15-years young and is responsible for converting Troy into a dog lover. He will eat anything, even dirt, so he was named after the Kirby vacuum. Because of his affinity to eat anything, Kirby has gotten himself into life-threatening trouble more than once. He is independent, incredibly social, comfortable in any situation, and loves meeting new dogs. Eight-year old Lexie has a calm, sweet personality and spirit, and is game for a walk or to sit on the couch. Lexie loves to chase other animals and tries to get the neighborhood deer and the cats to run and play chase. Kirby loves to root under blankets and pillows, while Lexie prefers swimming and tearing up toys. They both love to share ice cream with Troy and sleep in the master bed and boy, does Lexie snore!!!
