Our next painting was created by three Sheltie / Blue Merles named Sadie, Sienna, and Blue, with a little help from guardian Cassie. Seven-year-old Sadie is the bossy, boot camp sergeant, who is very vocal and full of spunk and attitude. The way she sees it, all humans are here to feed and love her! Her humans said, “We were drawn to Sadie because of her classic Rubenesque turn-of-the-century shape and pioneering personality”. Sienna got her name because her guardian loves all things Italian and Sienna’s colors reminded her of Tuscany. Fourteen-year-old Sienna is super smart, a bit quirky, and alpha all the way. She investigates everyone, but you really only count if you have a treat. Sienna is very devoted and stays close to her guardian. The man of the house, Blue, is a comedian and a romantic who likes to hold hands. He redecorates the house, specifically with shredded toilet paper or any piece of laundry he can steal from the basket. He also tirelessly chases squirrels, calling out to them while in pursuit. When asked about their experience, Sadie said she wanted more authority, Sienna said she wanted more treats, and Blue asked if next time he could have his own squirrel.
